Ear Cleaning & Earwax Removal

Why Earwax Removal Matters

Earwax (cerumen) is normal and protective, but when it builds up or becomes impacted, it can lead to hearing loss, fullness, itching, ringing, or even dizziness. Our certified provider at Next Gen Hearing Center offers professional earwax removal to restore comfort and hearing clarity.

Our Process at Next Gen Hearing Center:

We offer a comprehensive approach by combining multiple safe, precise removal methods:

Video Otoscopy (on-screen monitor or phone):
We begin with video otoscopy, allowing both you and our clinician to view a live, high-resolution image of your ear canal and eardrum to assess wax buildup.

Irrigation & Suction:
Warm saline irrigation gently flushes out softened or loose wax, followed by microsuction to remove residual debris—ideal for sensitive or narrow ear canals.

Manual Removal (Picking & Scooping):
Using precision curettes under direct visualization, we safely scoop stubborn wax buildup not responsive to irrigation.

The result? A thorough, minimally invasive cleaning—all while you watch the process live.

Typical sessions take 15–30 minutes, with prompt relief and improved hearing clarity.

Safety & Patient Comfort You Can Trust

  • We do not recommend cotton swabs or tools at home, which often push wax deeper and risk eardrum injury.

  • All procedures are done under direct visualization, using modern video otoscopy for accuracy, transparency, and peace of mind.

  • Our approach follows best-practice guidelines and emphasizes patient comfort and safety throughout.

Is It Right for You?

  • Earwax removal is especially recommended if you experience:

  • Muffled or reduced hearing

  • A feeling of fullness or pressure in the ear

  • Tinnitus (ringing) or itchiness

  • Recurrent ear problems from hearing aids, earbuds, or narrow ear canals

Not sure? We offer a free video otoscopic evaluation to assess whether professional cleaning is needed.

Our Mission:

Relaxing, no-pressure, the right solution.
